Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal.

Das Haus liegt in der Calle de la Cruz. Wenn man das Pech hat in einem der Straße zugewandten Zimmer zu wohnen, dann wird man erst sehr spät ein Auge zu tun können und man wird garantiert auch früh von diesem Lärm geweckt. Zimmerfenster und Zimmertür sind undicht und durch die zum Teil zentimerterbreiten Fugen fliegen Moskitos nach Lust und Laune ein und aus. Die Spuren zerklatschter Blutsauger sind an Decken und Wänden zu sehen. Das Frühstück ist spartanisch. So wenig Obst auf dem Teller, als gäbe es in diesem Teil des Landes keine tropischen Früchte. Einzig die Freundlichkeit des Personals spricht gegen eine schlechte Beurteilung. Ich habe aber auch nur aus der Not heraus, für eine Nacht ein Zimmer zu haben, dort übernachtet. Ich würde das Haus nur für sehr junge Leute, Backpacker oder Budgettouristen empfehlen. Located in Calle de la Cruz. If you get a room towards the street then you can be sure you´ll catch sleep very late and you´ll be awake very early. The wide gaps in the Window and the room door guarantee not only good ventilation but also heavy traffic of hunting mosquitos. On the walls, traces of smashed blood suckers prove this. Breakfast is very poor. Just a few small pieces of fruit on the plate, as if in this part of the country you wouldn´t find any tropical fruits. It is the friendly staff to save the place to get a bad response. I was there just because I needed a room for one night and I would recommend this place to young people, backpackers and budget tourists only.

Sehr nette Zimmer Nette Terrasse

It's a very quaint hotel located in the old city. Very small city streets with gorgeous architecture. There is a beautiful view especially at night from the top patio and it has a small jacuzzi as well. Breakfast in the morning is fresh and served on the lower balcony. Two beds were put together for us and the room was perfect. We even had a small balcony that two people could stand outside and look down on the street. Would love to stay here again.

There was no phone in the room to call the front desk and it was difficult to find at first. But it is very easy to walk outside the room and talk to the front desk clerk from the stairs.

Clean rooms, friendly staff, excellent breakfast in nice patio area. Though the hotel is on a street that is a busy during the day, in the evening it is pretty quiet. Great location - within few minutes walk of the old city attractions - and for the money it's a bargain.

Hotel Patio de la Cruz is located in the old centre, close walking distance to great restaurants, shops and bars. The moment we arrived we were greeted by Dallis at reception who was a wonderful help our entire stay. She was delightful to deal with and her bright smile was one of the highlights of our visit. Her English was also great which was a relief, given our Spanish skills are a tad lacking. All in all a good hotel, in a great location, with one particularly lovely staff member!

It would be great if each room had their own small fridge.

Very noisy. Lots of sound from the street, the cafe area by the room, and workers working at odd hours. No hot water even though we were told before booking that there would be hot water.

The location. Hotel itself is just ok considering the price. I didnt like the additional charge on departure and not sure if this is legitimate - $10 for insurance. Room was clean but very basic.

The hotel is located in a busy shopping street (cheap shoe outlets and fast food)in the San Diego neighbourhood of the historic centre, just across the Exito supermarket. It's central but Cartagena has more dreamy and laid back central locations, more near to charming restaurants. But those locations come with a -high- price. I likeked the way they preserved the mango tree and built the firdt floor patio around it. Beautiful, brand new bathroom fittings.

The minimalistic decor of the room is not very practical: no place to put your clothes. Upon arrival we got our room half an hour earlier, but they forgot to tell us there was a cut in water supply in Cartagena. At 38 degrees we desperately felt like having a shower. We got a bucket of water and had to wait until 23 hrs for the water to return. Contrary to what is stated in the Booking reservation (total costs of the room) the hotel charges security and taxes seperately and on the spot. So I got charged on my credit card and had to pay additional fees.

The price and location are very good, also they have a well prepared staff. The bathroom is pretty good:big, clean and useful.

The room does not have any kind of shelf to put the clothes and also there is no food service after the breakfast. They need also to repair the window protection because people outside the room can see the room.

The hotel is located in a less touristic and more simple part of the walled city and, although near to the center, the walk is a little dark at night. The rooms are very simple, but clean and new. The bed is confortable and overall it is a good cost/benefit.
